Most days this week, I have written a Tweet (or tweeted a tweet?) that says something along the lines of: GO DAVINA
Because this week, Davina McCall has done something truly amazing. She has cycled, swam and run 500 miles from Edinburgh to London in aid of Sport Relief. And last night, she completed her extraordinary challenge. There have been some great YouTube videos that have enabled us to follow her progress..
Last year, Miranda Hart did a 5 day "Mad March" challenge, which was also fun to follow but Davina's challenge wasn't in anyway funny or easy to watch.
I so nearly went to the finish line and her final marathon route was very near me but I was elsewhere. I am a massive fan of Sport Relief / Comic Relief and I love Richard Curtis and Emma Freud who set it up all those years ago.
Love the BBC's article - especially the photo of her receiving physiotherapy whilst eating chips as she needed so many calories each day...
Can't help but feel very emotional watching this -
